BC is committed to the development of its renewable energy sector, backed by the province’s Powering Our Future BC Clean Energy Strategy. As part of the clean energy strategy, BC Hydro recently announced the launch of several solar and battery incentives for residential and commercial customers.

Up to $50,000 in total for Small & Medium Businesses and Multi Unit Residential Buildings (MURB)

Please keep in mind these incentives are only available for businesses, homes, and communities that are connected to BC Hydro or have their electricity supplied by BC Hydro. BC Hydro is the largest utility company for residential homes and businesses in the province, making these incentives easily accessible.
These programs were created to bring in more renewable energy sources to the province. Battery energy storage systems play a significant role in utilizing solar to its full capacity. The additional battery incentives enable customers to install their own storage solution and reduce demand on the grid. Batteries also provide homeowners and businesses with flexibility to store and use their solar energy based on the property’s individual set needs.
