Why Ontario Should Go Solar Earlier

Since 2005 Ontario goverment introduced Micro Fit & FIT program in Ontario and is producing the most solar power of all provinces because of it. With this developed market, Ontario is home to the most knowledge and understanding of solar in Canada. Helping drive down market costs as the industry has had time to mature.

#4
of the sunniest places in Canada, and is geographically primed for solar.

Raising Utility Rate Protection: Going solar is the best way to hedge your rising electricity cost.

Do you know Ontario has the most sophisticated Utility rate structure compared to any other province in Canada? If it was not due to the hydro fair plan placed in 2018, Ontario’s utility rate is would be the highest in Canada.

More importantly, historical data shows a 5.8% annual increase which is one of the highest in Canada. The average Ontario family is using on average 10,800 kWh per year. That is an approximate spending of $1,707.48 a year before HST.

As a drawback of a mature market, grid infrastructure can’t keep up with Solar growth, the Solar capacity in certain areas is limited and will require a greater cost to connect to the grid in the future. Less than 5% of people will be allowed to connect to the grid given the current state of our infrastructure. Secure your solar spot on the grid now and save on high connection costs before it is too late.

How Does Solar Work in Ontario

Photovoltaic cells absorb the sun’s energy and convert it into a DC electric current.
A solar inverter converts that DC current into an AC electric current for use in the home.
Your electrical panel then sends this electricity throughout your home to power your electronics.
Excess power not utilized by the home is sent to the grid for credit which can be used for the future. A bi-directional meter will be installed to record these credits.
Paying for electricity is like renting a farm/business. Making payments every
month, adding no equity, and never seeing that money again.

Bills will only increase every year, but you cannot stop it.
Paying for solar is an investment into an appreciating asset on your home.

Solar will limit the effects of increased energy costs.
