Emissions Reduction Alberta just launched their Strategic Energy Management for Industry (SEMI) Program, with solar incentives up to $250,000 for industrial and manufacturing buildings. The rebate is also stackable with the refundable federal tax credit up to 30%.
The program is meant to encourage industrial sectors, such as agriculture, mining and construction, to install energy retrofits that reduce emissions. Qualified businesses benefit from increased profitability and lower operating costs.

- The project must reduce at least 5% of emissions

How Long Will Solar Rebates for Alberta Industries Last?
The Strategic Energy Management Program is backed by a $50,000,000 fund from the Government of Alberta and Natural Resources Canada. Capital retrofits, such as solar, are set to have a dedicated incentive budget of $8,000,000.
With the growing popularity of solar and the limited budget, funds are expected to go out fast. That’s why we encourage anyone who’s interested in the program to register and put in an application as soon as possible.
As a certified solar installer, we can help your business apply for the rebate and install your system.
