Canada Greener Homes Grant was introduced last year by the federal government offering up to $5000 to help Canadians make affordable energy-efficient upgrades to their homes, including installing solar energy systems.
CGHG requires homeowners to apply for the grant themselves, which means we unfortunately cannot register and apply on your behalf. Polaron will still be here every step of the way to walk you through the entire process so you can receive your grant as soon as possible.
Register for Free on CGHG’s Website
Registering is the first step toward receiving your grant, is 100% free and helps keep track of your application progress. This is an important step to ensure that you are part of the CGHG program for any energy upgrade you may plan for the future. Select from a local energy auditor, or choose from a list from our preferred vendors.
(This is not a requirement for Nova Scotia and Quebec, as the energy auditor will apply for you)
Why It’s Important to Register Early for CGHG
A pre-retrofit evaluation must be completed before we can move on to installing your system. The faster you register and book an evaluation, the sooner we can start putting your panels up on your roof. CGHG currently has a long review process, which is why we urge customers to register as soon as possible. Another reminder that this stage is free and won’t require any additional cost to register.
Polaron requires your evaluation completion email so we can move forward with your project. This should include the Renovation Upgrade Report and Homeowner Information Sheet.
The e-mail should include your registration number starting with #AP_______
How To Register
Eligible applicants can either register online or by phone. Nova Scotia residents will need to apply through an energy auditor and not through the online application process.
