Ontario continues to expand programs that promote sustainable energy systems and reduce reliance on the grid. SaveOnEnergy is kicking off the new year strong by introducing a massive new Ontario commercial energy rebate program for businesses that are interested in installing solar.
Previous iterations of SaveOnEnergy’s commercial energy rebate programs focused on solar for Greenhouses and Ottawa businesses.
The new program is now open to all of Ontario, offering rebates of $860/KW-AC installed solar capacity for up to $860,000 or 50% of total project costs.
The rebates are also compatible with the federal 30% investment tax credit. By using these incentives together, businesses can see fast returns on their investment with a payback period of just 5 years.
Requirements to Participate in SaveOnEnergy’s Commercial Energy Rebate Program
- Must be a commercial property
- System must be Behind-The-Meter and cannot participate in Net-Metering
- Minimum system size of 10kW
This new commercial energy rebate program focuses on promoting behind-the-meter installations. Businesses can use and store all generated solar energy on site for increased flexibility, security and savings.
